Weston is a planned city of family neighborhoods, many of them gated, at the western edge of Broward. Homes are often two-story with carpeted bedrooms and stairs, and plenty of families have dogs. The most common carpet problems here are pet damage at doorways, loose stair carpet and rooms that have rippled.
Common carpet problems in Weston homes
Dogs digging at closed doors cause most doorway damage in family homes.
Stairs in two-story homes loosen at the nosing.
Upstairs bedrooms and lofts ripple when carpet relaxes.
Recent work in Weston
A dog had torn up the carpet at this Weston bedroom door. We removed the damaged area, set in a matching piece and secured the edge. The doorway looked whole again.
Dogs and doorways
When a dog is shut out of a room, it digs at the carpet under the door. The damage is right where everyone sees it. We cut it out, rebuild the doorway with a matching piece and secure the edge so it can't be pulled up again. See pet-damaged carpet repair.

Stairs in two-story homes
Stair carpet takes the most wear in the house, and it's the most dangerous place for it to be loose. We tighten and re-secure stair carpet and fix worn edges where possible.
