Jupiter sits at the north end of our Palm Beach County service area. Homes here include larger single-family houses in planned communities, townhomes near Abacoa and condos near the water. Carpet tends to be in bedrooms, bonus rooms and upstairs, where it gets heavy use from families and guests.
Large rooms, big stretches
Bigger rooms are more likely to ripple, because a long run of carpet has more room to relax if it wasn't power-stretched at install. A knee kicker simply can't tension a large bonus room properly. We use a power stretcher that braces against the far wall, which is the only way to get a large room truly tight. Read more about carpet re-stretching.
What we see most in Jupiter
Big rooms need a power stretcher. When they were installed with only a knee kicker, ripples appear within a few years.
Stair carpet in busy family homes loosens and wears at the nosing.
Bonus and media rooms often get heavy furniture dragged in, leaving ripples and pulled seams.
What it costs in Jupiter
Jupiter homes often have larger bonus rooms and master suites, which fall in the large room range. Booking several rooms in one visit is especially worthwhile here, since it's the most cost-effective way to do a big home.
